ROUTE NOTES / BEFORE YOU START

Routes & Devices

Six things you may want to know. Check the details before choosing where to start.

Choosing a route during peak hoursRoutes

If your connection slows during peak hours, first check that your local network is working normally, then compare routes to the same exit region. VPNGR offers dedicated IEPL routes, relay, and direct connections, making it easy to compare options for the same use case. Browsing, continuous streaming, and file transfers place different demands on a connection; latency alone doesn't tell the whole story. Keep a go-to route and a backup in the same region to make troubleshooting easier than switching countries whenever an issue comes up. Connection quality still depends on your local network, the time of day, and the service you're accessing.

Bank-grade encryptionSecurity

VPNGR uses bank-grade encryption to protect data in transit over cross-border connections. Keep using secure connections on websites themselves, and get your client and subscription from the user panel. Subscription details are tied to account access, so don't post them in public discussions or forward them casually. When reporting an issue, include the error message, operating system, and route name; hide your username and subscription details in screenshots. Encryption is one part of a secure setup—it doesn't replace account protections on the sites you visit, device updates, or checking where downloaded files come from.

Unlimited simultaneous devicesDevices

Use your computer and other devices at the same time without having to plan around a device limit. VPNGR supports unlimited simultaneous devices and works with Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and Linux. Set up the client on each platform, then get and import your subscription from the user panel. Even if the connection has the same name, check that each device uses the intended exit region. Unlimited devices doesn't mean unlimited plan data, so check the data allowance and reset rules for your plan. If only one device can't connect, check its permissions, proxy mode, and local network first.

Check the region for AI toolsUse cases

When using AI tools such as Claude, check which regions the service currently supports, then choose the corresponding exit region. A connected route doesn't guarantee the service will accept your account environment; regional policies, account status, and browser sessions can all affect the result. VPNGR's region and route options help you choose a connection path, but they can't replace the service's own eligibility requirements. To troubleshoot, stick with one supported region and check whether the site loads. Then distinguish between login issues, access notices, and unavailable features rather than assuming every problem is caused by the route.

Choose streaming routes by content regionStreaming

For anime from Japan, start with a Japan exit; for another region's catalog, first check where that content is available. Playback depends not only on the detected exit region, but also on your platform account, content licensing, and current network. Don't assume a region name alone guarantees access. VPNGR offers cross-border route options, but you’ll need to check playback on the platform after connecting. If the home page loads but a video won't play, review the platform's message and check the detected region and client rules. When comparing routes, keep the content and local conditions similar, and judge sustained playback rather than the initial connection.

7-day money-back guaranteeRefunds

Whether a subscription is right for you depends on your network and how you use it. VPNGR offers a 7-day money-back guarantee, so you can review the plan terms and test it on your usual devices and during your normal usage hours. Note what happens when browsing, using AI tools, and streaming to help tell route issues apart from restrictions imposed by the service. For eligibility and how to request a refund, see the refund policy. For order issues, contact support through a ticket in the user panel. Don't share personal details from payment receipts or include your password or full subscription URL in a report.

WAYPOINTS / REGIONS & ROUTES

Popular regions & Route Tips

View all routes

Start with the region you need to access, then decide which route type to use. VPNGR covers 110+ countries and 180+ routes, with dedicated IEPL routes, relay, and direct connections. Use the table below as a guide; not every region offers every route type. Check the current list in the user panel for specific cities, route names, and available options.

For everyday browsing, start with the region where the service is based or your usual exit region. For region-restricted content, check which region the platform actually detects; for AI tools, confirm the service's supported regions first. Distance is only a rough guide—route paths and local network providers also affect performance. After switching, keep other conditions the same and check whether the change affects page loading, login, or playback.

CLIENTS / DEVICE SETUP

Get a client & subscription

View setup guides

Sign in to the user panel to get your subscription. You can create an account with a username and password—no email required. After signing in, you can get clients for Windows, macOS, Android, and Linux; the iOS option requires an active plan. The buttons below all lead to the user panel, so choose the one for your device.

Downloading a client and getting a route subscription are separate steps. After installing the client, follow the user panel instructions to get and import your subscription, then choose a route. If your operating system asks you to authorize the connection, make sure the prompt comes from the client you're setting up. Once configured, open a website you actually use and check that it loads and detects the intended region. You can then save that setup as your regular connection. See the setup guide for the full walkthrough.

PROVISIONS / USAGE & BILLING

Monthly Plans & Data Packs

View all plans

For regular use, choose a monthly plan based on your typical data needs. If your usage is less predictable, consider a data pack that lasts until it's used up. Monthly plan data resets each month on your activation date, not on the first of the calendar month. If you upgrade partway through, the price difference is prorated for the remaining days. Since all plans support unlimited devices, choose a tier based on data needs, not the number of devices you connect.

For research and everyday browsing, you could start by assessing a smaller plan. If you stream video or transfer files often, pay closer attention to your data usage. These use cases are a guide, not a conversion into a specific number of hours. Video quality, file sizes, and background tasks all affect consumption. Check your actual usage first, then adjust your plan to make a more informed choice.

QUESTIONS / FAQ

Before you Start

From accounts and data to connections, first work out which part is causing the issue.

Do I need an email address? How do I create an account?

No email address is required. Create an account with a username and password. Remember your login details and store them securely; don't share your password or full subscription details in public discussions. After creating an account, you can view plans, client downloads, and subscription details in the user panel. If you're unsure where to start, follow the setup guide to configure your account and client, then choose the region you want to access.

Does unlimited devices also mean unlimited data?

You can connect unlimited devices at the same time, but data usage is based on the plan you choose; these are separate limits. Monthly plans include 60GB, 250GB, or 500GB, and reset each month on your activation date. Data packs last until used and never expire. When using multiple devices, remember to account for background updates, file syncing, and streaming. To decide whether to change plans, check your actual usage rather than estimating from the number of devices alone.

I see a free VPN option. How are plans billed?

VPNGR offers paid monthly plans and data packs. Monthly plans cost ¥9.9 / 60GB, ¥18 / 250GB, or ¥28 / 500GB. A page entry doesn't mean every plan or route is free forever; check the user panel for what's currently available. For a full price breakdown and billing details, see the plans page—don't infer the scope of access from an entry's name alone. Pay with Alipay / WeChat / USDT. See the refund policy for details of the 7-day money-back guarantee.

My client says connected, but why won't a website load?

A connected status only means the client has established a connection; check that your traffic to the target website is going through the selected route. First confirm your local network is working, then check the client mode, app rules, and whether your subscription has been updated. If regular websites load but one service doesn't, check that service's regional requirements, account status, and error message. Change one setting at a time and keep the original error message so you can identify the cause without changing the region, mode, and browser all at once.

If my connection keeps slowing down, should I switch routes or contact support?

First check whether everything is slow or just one website or device. Once you know your local connection is working, try another route in the same region and see whether the same task improves. If the issue persists, submit a support ticket through the user panel with your operating system, client, route name, time of occurrence, and error message. Hide your account and subscription details in screenshots. These details make it easier to investigate than a report that simply says “it doesn't work.” For more steps, see Troubleshooting.
